As May arrives and the riding season begins to take shape across Minnesota, there’s a renewed energy in the air that only this time of year can bring. After months of planning, preparation, and anticipation, it’s finally time to get the bikes back on the road and reconnect with what makes MN Wings so special.

 Spring marks more than just the start of riding—it’s the start of new memories, new routes, and new opportunities to strengthen the friendships that define our organization. Whether it’s your first ride of the season or your fiftieth, there’s nothing quite like that feeling of being back together on two wheels.

Over the past several months, our State Board and chapter leaders have been hard at work preparing for the successful 2026 season. From event planning to ensuring strong organizational support, the focus has remained on delivering meaningful experiences while maintaining the stability and traditions that matter most to our members.

 We also saw a fantastic turnout at this year’s Winter Mixer, which was a great opportunity to reconnect and build momentum heading into the riding season. A sincere thank you goes out to Al Berndt for facilitating such a successful gathering, including hosting the State Board Meeting. Events like this don’t happen without dedicated members stepping up, and his efforts are truly appreciated.  

 With the riding season now underway, I encourage every chapter to stay active and engaged. Plan rides, try something new, and most importantly—invite others to join in. Growth and energy come from participation, and every member plays a role in keeping MN Wings strong.

 Looking ahead, one of the highlights of our season will be the Summer Get-Together, taking place in Siren, Wisconsin, the weekend of August 7th, 8th, and 9th. This annual tradition continues to be a cornerstone of MN Wings—bringing members together from across the region for a weekend of riding, camaraderie, and shared experiences. More details are available on the website, but I encourage you to mark your calendars and plan to attend. As always, safety remains a top priority. Take the time to ensure your bike is ready, ride within your limits, and look-out for one another on the road. A great season is one where everyone returns home safely after every ride.

MN Wings has always been about more than just riding—it’s about community, shared experiences, and the people beside you on the journey. That hasn’t changed, and it never will.
