As we move through the heart of winter here in Minnesota, I’m reminded that while the bikes may be tucked away for the season, the spirit of MN Wings never goes into storage. Our strength has never been measured solely by miles ridden—but by friendships built, hands volunteered, and the sense of community we create together.

 The close of 2025 brought strong participation, thoughtful leadership decisions, and meaningful conversations about the future of MN Wings. The State Board’s actions this past fall were guided by one clear objective: protecting the traditions we value while ensuring we remain financially and operationally strong for years to come.

The decision to pursue umbrella-style insurance coverage for the Summer Get-Together reflects our commitment to responsible planning. At the same time, we affirmed our dedication to preserving this long-standing MN Wings tradition—one that continues to bring riders together from across the state.

The state dues adjustment taking effect in January 2026 was not made lightly. It ensures that MN Wings can continue offering quality statewide events, maintain proper oversight, and support our chapters effectively. Your understanding and continued support make it possible for us to move forward with confidence.

While the snow flies, planning for the 2026 riding season is already underway. This is the perfect time for chapters to begin mapping out rides, exploring new destinations, and thinking creatively about events that strengthen participation and fun.

The Winter Mixer is always a great opportunity to reconnect, share ideas, and enjoy time together off the bikes. It will also include our next State Board Meeting. I encourage members from across the state to attend if you’re able—your voice and involvement matter.

Every riding season brings new stories, new roads, and new members into the fold. What makes MN Wings special isn’t just the destination—it’s who we ride with along the way.
